Keyed Up

Painted by our featured artist Brad Davis in 2023, as a part of his "Heirlooms" solo show.  "Keyed Up" is 6"wide x 12"tall with shaped left edge, oil on wood panel. 
 
“This car is always parked on the street outside my studio. One day I noticed that someone had keyed a strange message onto it. I became interested in the way the hurried letters scattered across the strict geometric contours of the car’s surface. That day I went back into the studio and cut a curved panel that accentuated these lines and began painting." — Brad Davis
