Studio Kroner owner and artist Paul Kroner appeared on FOX19 this week alongside Jayne Utter of Summerfair Cincinnati to promote the upcoming Summerfair Select exhibition at the Weston Gallery.
During the segment, Kroner and Utter highlighted the exhibition’s mission: celebrating sixteen outstanding local artists who received the Summerfair Aid to Individual Artists Awards between 2022 and 2024. The show brings their work together in a single, dynamic presentation at the Weston Gallery inside the Aronoff Center.
Kroner, a Cincinnati-based sculptor known for his expressive bronze works, spoke about what receiving the Summerfair Aid to Individual Artists Award in 2023 has meant to him. He shared that the honor of being included among such an accomplished roster of regional talent was both inspiring and deeply affirming. The award also provided crucial support for developing a new line of sculptures —work that reflects his continued evolution as an artist. For Kroner, the recognition underscores not only his own artistic momentum but the essential role Summerfair plays in uplifting and investing in the creative community.
Utter emphasized Summerfair’s mission to champion local artists and support the region’s cultural vitality, noting that Summerfair Select is an opportunity for the public to see the impact of these awards firsthand.
Summerfair Select opens Friday, November 21, with a reception from 6–8 p.m., and will remain on view through January 11, 2026 at the Weston Gallery, 650 Walnut St, Cincinnati, OH 45202.
