Studio Kroner presents Mark Ulriksen

Studio Kroner is proud to present San Francisco-based artist and illustrator MARK ULRIKSEN, one of the most prolific contemporary cover artists for The New Yorker magazine with 68 covers to date and some 200 inside illustrations over the past 20+ years. Mark's show opens on Thursday, September 1, and runs through October 1, 2022.


Opening: 6-9 pm, Thursday, September 1

Artist Talk: 1-2 pm, Saturday, September 3


Mark’s illustrations have appeared in most of America’s leading newspapers and magazines, including the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Time, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, Atlantic Monthly, GQ, Esquire, etc. Mark also wrote and illustrated a book about his love for mankind’s best friend, Dogs Rule Nonchalantly.


His illustration and graphic design work has been recognized for over 30 years in competitions such as Communication Arts, The Society of Publication Designers, American Illustration, and The Society of Illustrators, where he has won three gold and three silver medals. His paintings have been exhibited in London, Paris, Rome, and Kyoto.


“I have been following Mark’s career for the past 30 years,” says Paul Kroner, artist and owner of Studio Kroner. “His work is humorous, inspiring, and impactful. I am thrilled and honored to present him and his work to the Queen City.”


Mark’s show will open with a public reception on Thursday, September 1, from 6-9 pm. He will also give an artist talk on Saturday, September 3, from 1-2 pm, where he will share his process for creating and developing New Yorker covers.



Studio Kroner is artist/designer Paul Kroner's creative hub, and a space for other artists to showcase their work.
