Studio Kroner is proud to announce the upcoming solo exhibition, "Heirlooms," by acclaimed artist Brad Davis. Winner of the prestigious 2023 Cincinnati Art Club's ViewPoint 55 show, Brad Davis brings his captivating urban landscapes to Studio Kroner from May 10 to June 1, 2024.
Brad Davis's paintings offer a fresh perspective on urban environments, elevating their everyday elements through his thoughtful and personal reconstruction. The exhibition will kick off with an Opening Reception on Friday, May 10, from 6-9 pm, providing art enthusiasts with the opportunity to engage with the artist and his work. An Artist Talk is scheduled for Saturday, May 18, from 1-2 PM, offering deeper insights into Davis's creative process. The exhibition will conclude with a Closing Reception on Saturday, June 1.
A Cincinnati native, Brad Davis earned his BFA from the Art Academy of Cincinnati in 2016 and his MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in 2018. He currently serves as a resident instructor at Manifest Drawing Center and an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati's College of Design, Art, Architecture, and Planning (DAAP). Davis's work has garnered international recognition, with exhibitions across the United States and abroad, including notable venues like the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
"My paintings are centered around the urban environment and seek to transform its banality through careful and personal reconstruction," explains Brad Davis. "Through painting Cincinnati's ever-changing landscape, I hope to preserve what will inevitably be lost: those treasures that become our city's heirlooms."
