Exploring the Boundaries of Art: Studio Kroner's AI-Generated Art Exhibition Takes Off!

We are thrilled to bring you the latest updates from Studio Kroner and our groundbreaking exhibition, "Yes, but is it Art?". The show, which delves into the world of AI-generated art, has had an incredible start, captivating the attention of art enthusiasts and sparking engaging conversations about the potential of this emerging technology. Opening night was a resounding success, with the gallery bustling with curious visitors and skeptical art lovers eager to explore the pros and cons of this nascent field.

In the News!

We are proud to share that the exhibition has garnered significant attention from various media outlets here in Cincinnati. Our thought-provoking showcase has been featured in prominent platforms such as WCPO Cincy LifeStyle, FOX 19 Now, WVXU, and Cincy CityBeat. This recognition highlights the importance and relevance of AI-generated art in the contemporary art scene.

As we marked the second anniversary of the first opening here at Studio Kroner on Saturday, May 20, we celebrated this milestone by organizing a captivating artist talk. Featured artists Brandy VanGessel, Judi Bommarito, and Patrick Lichty took center stage, offering us a glimpse into their creative processes and the integration of AI into their artistic practices. Patrick also took us on a historical tour, contextualizing this moment within a lineage of disruptive innovations throughout history.

Hurray for SCPA!

In an exciting collaboration, aspiring playwrights and actors from the School for Creative and Performing Arts brought their talents to our gallery, presenting two mesmerizing performances over the weekend. These skits, specially created for our exhibition, provided a unique perspective on AI, albeit with a slightly dystopian view. Despite the underlying themes, the writers and actors infused their work with tremendous joy and positive energy, showcasing the power of creativity and human expression.

Panel Discussion: May 31

But the excitement doesn't end there! We have more engaging events lined up for you. On Wednesday, May 31, we invite you to join us for a compelling panel discussion, where experts from various fields will delve deeper into the implications of AI-generated art. This thought-provoking conversation promises to shed light on the ever-evolving relationship between technology and creativity.

Finally, we invite you to mark your calendars for the closing reception on June 17. This will be a wonderful opportunity to come together, celebrate the incredible journey we have embarked upon, and reflect on the profound impact of AI in the realm of art.

Studio Kroner remains committed to pushing the boundaries of art, embracing innovation, and providing a platform for artists to explore uncharted territories.
