Making Sense of the Anthropocene in Community
6:00-7:00 pm
Studio Kroner welcomes the University of Cincinnati’s Institute for Research in Sensing (IRiS) to host an "Alloy Series Discussion" as part of All Else Pales 2. Moderated by co-curator Devan Horton.
We invite you to join us for a wide-ranging, participatory discussion weaving together ecological, spiritual, agricultural, political, and artistic perspectives to make sense of this moment. As both ecological and human communities struggle to respond to change, wise action and contemplation are as necessary as grief. Human activity is reshaping life on our planet like never before. Your voice is essential.
The Alloy Series brings diverse perspectives to emerging topics in sensing, perception, and sensor technology, while engaging Cincinnati and its curious communities. Extending IRiS’ core mission, Alloys unite voices from STEM, humanities, and the arts to explore sensing’s histories and futures. These informal pop-up events occur in unexpected locations and are always free and open to the public.
