ANOTHER UKRAINE: Featuring Ukrainian artists from the Kharkiv
November 1-25, 2023

Studio Kroner presents Another Ukraine, featuring Ukrainian artists from the Kharkiv Photography School investigating their inner world amid the upheaval of war. This exhibit uncovers a layer of Ukrainian photography, which is not about the current military turmoil but about psychological aspects of today's reality. The show is also an attempt to financially help the front-line City of Kharkiv creatives and their families in this time of hardship.
But we need your help to make this exhibition a reality!
In conjunction with the Cincinnati-Kharkiv Sister City Partnership, Studio Kroner is looking to raise funds to help these artists prepare for this show. We are reaching to our loyal audience today to see if you can help us reach our goal of raising $3,000 for printing, framing, and hanging the show. All donations go directly to the Cincinnati-Kharkiv Sister City Partnership to help offset the costs of preparing art for this show.
Will you join us in supporting these talented artists? Every donation counts!
Your tax-deductible contribution of any amount you can contribute will make a significant impact!

The Kharkiv Photography School
The exhibit features the works of Kharkiv photographers from the renowned Kharkiv Photography School. The School originated in Soviet times as a counterweight to official propaganda, eventually becoming a powerful means of visual self-expression in contemporary Eastern Europe.
Widely celebrated internationally, the School is not a formal organization but a spiritual conglomerate of individuals sharing a common view of many manifestations of reality: from seemingly realistic depictions to pure artistic fantasy. "Harsh, incongruous, uncompromising, acute," and even "humorous" are some of the epithets applied to Kharkiv Photography School by different critics.
Although a non-formal association of artists, the School has been the subject of multiple online publications and art criticism books. Three years ago, the Museum of Kharkiv School of Photography (MOKSOP) opened its doors to visitors and researchers.
Cincinnati-Kharkiv Sister City Partnership
