Exploring the Environment
in Art and Discussion

As part of Studio Kroner's mission to use art as a conduit for the exchange of ideas and discussion about the world around us, we present ALL ELSE PALES — a month-long exhibit and programs exploring the environment.

 

We are thrilled to present the following artists and scientists:

The month-long exhibit opens with “The Global Warming Series” featuring 18 fabulous, large paintings by Bloomington, Indiana artists David Young, and sculptor Dena Hawes with her carefully considered items from nature united with beautifully crafted metalwork.

Mary Kroner: X Marks The Spot

Saturday, May 14; Sunday, 15; Saturday, June 4

Mary Kroner premieres her one-woman performance piece with music entitled “X Marks the Spot,” which closely examines history, culture, and the environment from a single plot of land.

Ben Brabson: The Science Behind the Art

Wednesday, May 18

Ben Brabson, Emeritus Professor of Physics at Indiana University Bloomington (IUB), discusses the science of global warming through the lens of Young’s paintings.
